I visited this pub today for lunch booked with two friends Unfortunately, due to one being unwell there were just the two of us. When we informed the waitress (who was extemely rude) we were asked to vacate our table set for 4 people (which we had sat at for 20 minutes) and ordered to sit at table for 2 people. We offered to sit outside as it was a nice day but was told that no food would be brought out to us. When I informed them that we would be paying the same money whether inside or out so we expected the same service another waitress came over to our table and started a verbal argument with us. We decided to pay for our drinks and leave and find somewhere more friendly and agreeable. Upon going to the bar to pay for drinks we had whilst waiting someone dressed in a chefs outfit said "if you want an argument you can have one". What a disgusting bunch of people. I have heard other people making negative comments about this pub and the people who run it and seeing is certainly believing. Unless anyone is truly desperate for somewhere to eat I would give this pub the widest birth ever. By the way we did get to have a lovely long lunch where the people were friendly and the food fabulous.

This pub is unfriendly due to the character of the female publican. She needs, if possible, to learn how to treat the general public. She is rude, coarse and although the rest of her staff show courtesy towards visitors, she shows no such attributes. The food is poor value for money although the premises, gardens, etc are very attractive. This is not a pub I would recommend to anyone due to the aggressive behaviour of the publican, primarily.
